Fendi Patent Crossword Clutch

What is going on over at the House of Fendi? Are they incapable of designing a decent bag? Aside from the Spy satchel, the rest of their bags leave much to be desired. Take the Fendi Patent Crossword Clutch for instance. A clutch is a relatively uncomplicated bag to design, but Fendi feels the need to really mess things up.

This bag has the right "bones" with its' classically structured black patent leather exterior, silver tone hardware, and trendy frame logo handle. Then, for no apparent reason, this sleek bag takes a turn for the worse. The Fendi logo is smacked over the front of the clutch in 'crossword puzzle' fashion. These enormous and unattractive mirror-like letters sink this unfortunate bag into hag bag oblivion.

It seems as if the House of Fendi has a death wish. By this I mean that in designing these recent handbag horrors, Fendi is sending their bags to certain retail death. If you'd like to give one of these poor clutches a reprieve, you may pre-order one for $920 at Bergdorf Goodman.
