A "Nightmare", But Not On MY Street!

Nowadays the house of Versace seems more like the victim in a horror movie than a top designer of haute couture and accessories. I'm left wondering what went wrong? Their designs were always cutting edge, sexy and fabulously over the top. Now all they seem to come up with is just plain over the top with nothing fabulous about it.

Take the Versace Pocket Shoulder Bag for instance. It's gawdy with a capital 'G'. This bag couples platinum leather and metallic gold leather trimming with disasterous results. The gold tone hardware and studs only add to its' garish look. When you add chain handles, a front zip pocket, two front flap pockets, and a heinous oversized medallion on the front tab closure to the mix, you're left with one horrible nightmare of a bag.

Please don't misunderstand me. I love metallic bags, but not enough to give up all sense of style- and taste. This Versace design is one nightmare that won't be coming to my street! If you'd like to experience this nightmare in your neck of the woods, it'll cost you $2,680 at Neiman Marcus.

Good luck.

I am a Versace fan. Lately, I just don't know what is going on.
