Erotokritos Patent Basket

In the handbag world, it is not uncommon to find fun, inventive designs coming from unlikely sources. Lesser known (or famous) designers can make a name for themselves in this industry by doing what more well-established design icons no longer find the need to do. Erotokritos is known for his effortlessly chic fashion designs and can now add handbags to his resume. His fresh take on timeless design concepts could certainly carve a niche for him in the highly competitive handbag market.

A fine example of classic style combined with innovative design is the Patent Basket. Crafted from trendy patent leather and measuring an unusual 12 x 11 x 10, this fun shape begs to be carried anywhere and everywhere. Tons of gaudy hardware is not necessary here as Erotokritos relies on talent to deliver a unique bag. Double rolled handles, handy front zip pocket, side knot detail (which more than makes up for a lack of hardware), wide-opening main compartment with diagonal zip closure (love it!), and print-lined interior with zip and pouch pockets round out a stunning bag that looks like it was issued from a famous fashion house. As a fan of Erotokritos' modern, casual clothes, I'm thrilled his creativity is shining through in handbag designs as well. Perhaps he will soon find himself among the fashion elite as his design skills certainly demand.

Scoop up the Patent Basket in this gorgeous blue hue before it sells out (and it will) for $621 via Shopbop.
