Leiber Pigtail Minaudiere: Trash or Treasure?

When the only remarkable comment I can make about the Leiber Pigtail Minaudiere is that it has a rather creepy resemblance to "Napoleon" from George Orwell's Animal Farm, you know my review is probably less than stellar. This ridiculous and slightly menacing piece of crystal-encrusted bacon exemplifies the often inexplicable world of handbag design, and, what the heck, fashion in general. For goodness sake, it's a pig. A pig as a handbag! This multi-colored bead and Austrian crystal mess is accented with silver-tone hardware and features a push-lock closure, detachable chain shoulder strap (seriously?), lined interior (what, no pork chops?), and accompanying mirror and coin purse (now they really sealed the deal!). Measuring 4.5 x 3.5, this pint-sized portly pig will never see the inside of my "Animal Farm". If you believe Leiber delivers the goods with this creation, you can pre-order it right now (yippee!). Truthfully, ladies, for $3600 via Neiman Marcus, is the Pigtail Minaudiere trash or treasure?

Trash definitely. Total waste of money, in my opinion.
