Oscar de la Renta Resort 2008 Collection: Sheer Perfection

When you're a master at what you do, there's not much else us mere folk can contribute. Oscar de la Renta, the undisputed master of subtle elegance, has done it once again. His 2008 Resort collection is simply breathtaking. From graceful (head-to-toe and arm candy included), casual day looks to showstopping evening gowns and everything that falls in between, this ODLR collection schools other, more famous couture designers on how it's done.

Covering silhouettes inspired from the 50s through the 80s, this collection has an outfit for every conceivable occasion. Standouts include a sleeveless lime green pleated dress and an ethereal, off-the-shoulder black & white floral-print gown. His sporty looks are perfectly tailored as the body of his work is known for. Noteworthy handbags include luxurious python totes, frame top clutches and satchels, and large print-patterned weekend carryalls.
The Oscar de la Renta Resort 2008 collection can go down in the books as sheer perfection, and I'd expect nothing less from the master himself.
