Zac Posen Billie Top Handle Bag

Holy Cow! How sad for Zac Posen and his handbag division. How could a design so lovely as the Abbey Satchel occupy a space along side this hag bag? The Billie Top Handle Bag is just plain ugly. This Art Deco-inspired creation, measuring 9 x 7 x 5.5, is crafted from pebbled leather with metallic leather trim and features bright gold-tone hardware, double frame top handles, extended tab with hidden magnetic closure (am I the only one who's reminded of Gene Simmons when looking at this bag?), dual zip top with signature ring pull tabs, and suede-lined interior with zip pockets. I can understand the attempt to design a handbag in keeping with the rest of Posen's vintage-looking collection, but this poor bag falls way short of the mark. Though barely coming in under the $1K mark at $995 via Saks Fifth Avenue, the Billie Top Handle Bag just isn't worth it.
