Celebrity Style: Prada Bow Clutch Bag

It was only a matter of time before a celebrity would fall for the "charms" of the Prada Bow Clutch. I use the term loosely as their is nothing remotely charming about this bag. The allure of a muff clutch eludes me. This particular design, with its' rectangular shape and oversize bow featured prominently on the front of the bag, just seems silly. I can't fathom a serious fashionista actually spending money on it, but, alas, someone has. The always glowing Kristin Davis, by far my favorite SATC gal, was spotted at the U.S. Open clad in a simple but lovely blue dress, casual gold sandals and toting the aforementioned Prada clutch in a not-very-flattering shade of green. Despite the obvious incongruous nature of this outfit, the Prada Bow clutch does nothing to enhance the look. Gold-tone hardware, zip-top closure and detachable shoulder strap round out the list of features. I would prefer to see this used as a shoulder bag. It wouldn't appear to be so child-like if it were used as such. Retailing at just under $1000, the Prada Bow Clutch is a definite "no-no" for me. Visit your local Prada boutique, Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus to inquire about availability. If you think Kristin's choice in handbag color is questionable, you'll definitely want to pass up on the pink/green and orange/green color combination versions as well. Ugh...
