Oscar de la Renta Spring 2008 Collection & Tall Alden Handbag

Now that New York Fashion Week is over and before London gets its' turn to dazzle us with spring fashions, let's feed our senses with a few more fall handbags, shall we? After viewing a myriad of designs from our favorite American designers over the past week, it's safe to say Spring is shaping up to be one heck of a season for handbag collectors. Just take a look at what the iconic and irreplaceable Oscar de la Renta has in store for us next year...

Looks like the "exotics" trend from this fall is coasting straight into spring with a vengeance. I'm not particularly fond of the snakeskin tote in turquoise (the mustard one is far more pleasing to the eye), but I'm crazy about the "ruffle" satchels. They're quite intriguing and certainly worth a closer look when they make their way to stores next year, but who can wait until next year to get a slice of ODLR heaven? If you can't, here's a bag that will tide you over 'till spring.

The Tall Alden Handbag is a picture-perfect fall bag. The classic frame top design, available in black and gold, is set off by a suede with "pythoned" patent trim exterior. Measuring a roomy 14 x 13 x 6, the 'Tall Alden' serves up a sophisticated look with details such as a gold-tone metal frame top, dual adjustable buckled top handles, wide tab closure, detachable shoulder strap, front flap pocket with press-lock closure and lined interior with patent leather-trimmed patch pockets and large pocket with tab closure. Timeless elegance like this doesn't come cheap. The Oscar de la Renta Tall Alden Handbag is priced at a steep $2390 via Oscar de la Renta, but it's lovely and will never go out of style.

Here are a few pics from the rest of ODLR's Spring '08 collection. Enjoy!
