This is a handbag blog so our main concern should be, well, handbags. Every now and then, though, I feel the need to point out something which deserves your attention (and, yes, it is handbag related). Three icons, Madonna, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, have come together and made advertising history. The Material Girl is the face of French fashion label Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer '09 collection ad campaign. Jacobs, LV's creative director, expressed a lifelong interest in working with Madge and felt that she and Louis were a match made in heaven. Judging from these shots taken of Madonna clad in head-to-toe LV and sporting some seriously fierce handbags, Jacobs was right on the money. You can view the making of this historic campaign on Louis Vuitton's website. Don't pass up the chance to see Madge in her element as well as offering her opinion on everything from what she should wear to Jacobs' "hotness".
