Roger Vivier Faceted Shoulder Bag

There is something so appealing about a uniquely-shaped bag. If the shape is really "out there" it can be tough to decide whether you admire the attempt at doing something new or whether you dislike to final results. In the case of the Roger Vivier Faceted Shoulder Bag, I definitely fall into the former category. I can't help but admire the surprisingly sophisticated simplicity its' modern, geometric shape conveys.

This large 18 x 20.5 x 5 bag (done in brown leather or red, natural and cream patchwork python) sports a sparsely studded shoulder strap with a 13' drop, a matte brass buckled tab closure that's been re-tooled to reflect the bag's origami-inspired silhouette and a single interior zippered pocket for additional storage. While the 'Faceted' bag is hip and relevant to today's modern woman, I can see this design looking just as chic 10 years from now. When something is done right, its' appeal can last a lifetime (i.e. - Chanel 2.55 Flap Bag). If you're the sort of woman that thrives on edgy fashion pieces, be sure to give the Roger Vivier Faceted Shoulder Bag serious consideration. I guarantee you'll love it now and 20 years down the road. Now a bag that can provide its' owner edgy elegance for years to come is worth every penny.

Dania, we are on the same page when it comes to bags. I actually just purchased this bag today from BG in NY and should receive it tomorrow. I decided on this one instead of the Marc Jacobs Hillary, some of the reasons being its uniqueness, modernity and timeliness. I hope it is all that I expect (and more), because if it is, I plan to use it everyday. BTW, I love your thoughtful and knowledgeable commentary on all the bags you post. Keep it up! gpc

You sound like someone who knows what she likes, has a good sense of personal style and can appreciate the beauty of a wide variety of handbag designs. We're in the minority, but that just means there's more for us to choose from. This bag is stunning. I'm certain you'll love it, and you'll be the envy of every woman you know.

Thank you so much for the gracious compliment. I do this for the sheer love and respect I have for the art of handbag design. Heaven knows it's not for the money or the recognition because I scarcely get either. So thank you again, gpc.
