Alexander McQueen Flapper Messenger Bag

I'm about to make a statement I know many of you will disagree with, but here it goes. I am not a fan of the Proenza Schouler PS1 Bag. I'm well aware the entire world seems to be head-over-heels in lust with this bag, but I find it's way too masculine and utilitarian-looking for my taste. Even if I look at the PS1 in an objective manner and exclude my preferences, I find it lacking in style and certainly not worth its $2000 price tag.

On the other hand, I'm totally smitten with the Alexander McQueen Flapper Messenger Bag. This design is similar in style to the PS1, but gives off a much more feminine vibe than the Proenza Schouler version. The 'Flapper' is more practical sporting three exterior pockets and a sturdier shoulder strap. I also like the fact that the fold-over top doesn't come all the way down the front of the bag, but remains just above the large buckled front pocket allowing the pocket to become the focal point of the design. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is the Alexander McQueen bag is a more stylish, clever execution of the messenger bag style than the Proenza Schouler PS1 Bag. Sorry if I'm ruffling any feathers out there, but I've got to tell it like I see it.
