Dunlin Lafayette Bag

Those of you who know about Dunlin handbags know this New York-based company founded by Ramana Goldstein and Shiho Nagashima is responsible for imbuing each of its bags with an innate sense of adaptability. Their practical and naturally expansive designs are the ideal companion for the urban dweller that requires much of her bags.

My favorite Dunlin design, the Lafayette Bag, is now available in several colors and finishes (including a croc-embossed leather version) that really dress up this mostly utilitarian bag. The medium 'Lafayette' (pictured) measures 14 x 12 x 6 and features a total of 6 exterior zippered pockets (3 on the front, 3 on the rear), two main zippered compartments and a unique exterior that expands or retracts according to its owner's demands. The dual shoulder straps boast a comfortable 8" drop and are equally adaptable to the bag's degree of fullness. The Lafayette Bag is an ultra-chic choice for anyone - from college students to city moms to working women on the go. Its functional design, various color options and appealing price point make it an attractive handbag choice for women who crave stylish bags without logos or hefty price tags.

Dunlin Lafayette Bag ranges from $780 - $850 and is available thru HampdenClothing.com
