Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Handbag Preview

Marc, Marc, Marc...the bane of my existence. My husband sometimes jokes how utterly nonsensical I become when I talk about him. A typical conversation goes something like this:

Me: Is this man (Marc) insane? How can someone with so much artistic talent come up with such wretched, ugly designs?
Hubby: So I take it you don't like the bag you're looking at.
Me: That is an understatement. I love and hate him all at once.
Hubby: If his designs suck so bad, why do I frequently find his name popping up on our credit cards?
Me: Oh, that. Well, what can I say, the guy is talented. I know, I know, I'm not making any sense.
Hubby: You usually don't, sweetie, but I still love you. Now about those credit cards...

The point of bringing our pithy banter to light is to illustrate that even though I may rag on my man Jacobs from time to time, I still think he's the cat's meow. I couldn't wait to share some of the fabulous new designs and updated versions of oldies but goodies from his Fall '09 collection with all of you. He's even managed to get me lusting after a Stam Bag. The world is coming to an end, I know!

We have a few new 'Stam' updates including a gorgeous purple leather version with heavy stitching/wavy cut-out detailing and minus the signature chunky gold strap. There are a couple of cute satin bags with pyramid-shaped miniature stud detailing, but my absolute favorite is the quilted 'Cecilia' with its gold-tone miniature stud accents and small, faux gathered drawstring detailing along the top edges of the bag. That one is on my list of "must-have's" for the fall. You can view the rest of Marc Jacobs' Fall 2009 handbag collection here.
