Is it possible for a design to "jump the shark" before the season it was designed for has even begun? Just yesterday, I shared a rumor that the "it bag" of the moment, the Alexander Wang Coco Duffel, would be released with silver studs. I know I was excited to see the design with the more appropriate silver hardware, but I now realize that the silver studs were meant for this thing. The Coco Duffel has been subjected to the denim-looking leather Wang is so fond of. They've taken away the textured black leather that was so hot and replaced it with something that would look more at home in a flea market. Granted, the silver works better with the denim color than the gold studs would have, but that's not really saying much. Can you tell how much I dislike this version of the Coco Duffel? I sure hope they release a black leather (not denim-looking black leather) version with silver studs soon so it can erase the memory of this horrid bag from my mind.

Yes i agree. I have seen denim like this before but it was not on a designer "it" bag rather out of the Wilson's Leather scrap donation bin! I hope he got a deal.
