Celebrity Style: Random Celebrity Handbag Sightings

Photos: Celebutopia.com

I love it when the web is all abuzz with bags. Talk of dresses and scarves or ripped jeans and shoes just don't do it for me. A bag, however, will always grab my attention. I've fielded questions as to where to find these celebrity arm candy picks over the past week. In an effort to keep things concise, I decided to address them all in one post. So let's get down to business, shall we?

First up is the lovely and very pregnant Sarah Michelle Gellar. We just so happened to feature SMG last week on Señora Cartera On A Budget. She is definitely one of our favorite repeat visitors. This time around, Sarah is seen carrying one of her favorite pieces. This red Chanel Hidden Chain Flap Bag is a few seasons old and retailed for about $2650 at the time. You can never go wrong with Chanel. I don't think it's even a debatable point. If you're interested in Sarah's version, you'll find one up for grabs on eBay. I cannot vouch for the bag's authenticity because I'm not familiar with the seller, but you can certainly request additional information and photos to help determine that if you're interested. Of course, you can always contact your local Chanel boutique and ask if they happen to have any 'Hidden Chain' bags left in their inventory or if they'd be so kind as to inquire at other locations on your behalf.

Kristin Cavallari follows suit with her choice of this fall's "it bag" - the Alexander Wang Coco Duffel. What can I say about this one, ladies, that I haven't already said, repeatedly. It's a fab design and the entire handbag-loving world is drooling over it. While I'm still receiving inquiries as to where to locate this stunner, I've also heard from a few ladies that are having doubts about their purchase. My advice is if you get it and it doesn't meet your expectations, simply send it back. Don't sweat the small stuff, ladies. It's certainly disappointing to have your heart set on a bag only to be let down when it isn't as fabulous as you thought. The fact is some of you will get it and love it more than you do now, and some of you will take one look at it and want to chuck it in the trash.

If you're still interested in the Coco Duffel ($850) or want to know first-hand what all the hoopla is about, check out La Garçonne or Forward by Revolve Clothing. You can also visit Shopbop.com, Net-A-Porter and BarneysNY.com as they replenish their stock on a daily basis. Here's some important information about the Coco Duffel some of you might be happy about. Rumor has it Alexander Wang will be releasing the Coco with silver studs sometime later this year. I can just hear the "THUMP" of a thousand jaws hitting the floor at the mere thought of owning the Coco Duffel with silver studs.

Now I'll move onto more sublime handbag territory. I've received at least thirty e-mails asking me to identify Kelly Ripa's navy bag. Who knew Kelly would turn out to be such a sought-after fashionista. Kelly does a great job with her summer outfit and tops it off with Tod's Helmut Bag. This older version of the 'Helmut' (and by older I mean, like, a year old) is sophisticated and timeless. It compliments Kelly's outfit with as much ease as it would a pair of jeans and simple white tee. I haven't been successful in locating the navy version of this bag, but a tan one is on sale at Styledrops for $1289.

As we bring our random celebrity handbag sightings to a close, we come to none other than Kim Kardashian. I'll admit the handbag choice in her photo is a bit outside her usual style. The 'rocker chic', hobo style of the Alexander Wang Eniko Gunny Sack is not exactly what we've come to expect from Kim. She's more of a Fendi/YSL/Balenciaga kind of gal, but, heck, she's entitled to switch it up now and then. The Eniko is priced at $620 and sports the same textured leather as the Coco Duffel and zipper detailing as the Donna Hobo. It's actually quite spacious, so you'll be able to store your essentials with relative ease. The Eniko Gunny Sack is available thru Shopbop.com.

Hope your questions have been answered satisfactorily, ladies. Until next time...

I don't like bags that receive a lot of attention, but the fact that the coco duffel will have a SILVER studded version definitely appeals to me...but not as much as that ysl easy bag with the zipper detailing! You NEED to get it!

So glad you liked the YSL bag. I can't stop staring at it. I already have a call into my SA to see if I can get my hands on one soon. It's positively swoon-worthy!
