I started the week off with the first part of my preview from the 2010 pre-fall collections. In the first installment of this preview, I mentioned Chanel's Asian-inspired runway show and showcased a few looks from the collection. Now, in part 2 of my pre-fall preview, it's time to talk bags. I saw nothing in terms of new styles. Instead, Lagerfeld, Chanel's creative director, offered Chanel enthusiasts a ton of re-styled flap bags. We're all familiar with how much Karl loves pre-fall collections. This is his chance to really go nuts and try out new detailing on classic styles like he did in his 2009 Moscow-inspired pre-fall collection with the Kremlin Rooftop Classic Flap. The bags are done up in fabulous colors and detailing, but I'm not certain they're as special as the Paris-Moscow collection. I'll have to wait 'till the trunk show rolls around next year to make up my mind.
Here are a few more of my favorite looks from the rest of the collections. From red-carpet ready gowns to more practical everyday looks, pre-fall 2010 looks promising. We'll have to wait about 6 more months to get our hands on any of these designs. Have fun waiting!
