Model Kate Moss graduated from being the face of French accessories label, Longchamp, to actually designing for them. Moss' debut handbag collection, which hits stores February 11th, is comprised of designs that fall under three categories - Rock'N Casual, Rock'N Travel and Rock'N Glam. While the collection is highly edited, a couple of the designs have potential.
The 'Gloucester' is a basic satchel with buckle strap detailing on the front and rear panels of the bag. We've seen this design countless times before, but there is something to be said for the beauty of simplicity. The weekender version of this bag in dove grey is classic and elegant. Another noteworthy piece is the 'Glastonbury'. With its' braided seams and slim body, this design is on-trend with the long messenger-style designs we've seen on the runways.
Moss' collection ranges in price from $150 for a small coin purse to $2700 for a large weekend bag and comes in several basic color staples such as black, whisky brown, red and grey. Considering Kate's considerable fan base, Longchamp seems poised to profit from its continued partnership with her. What are your feelings about Kate Moss' bag collection. Is it good enough to invest in or should Kate trade in her sketch pad?
