Ok Dania, I will admit that I love the color of this bag, but I'm having a hard time getting used to the gathered slouchy look. It is unique, I'll give it that, and I think if I were to see it in person, I would probably love it. It is one of those bags that is just really hard to make a decision on without having it in hand. Alexander Wang's fall handbag collection is very promising. The Coco Duffle and Jess Shopper are my personal favorites, but the Coco appears to be worthy of the buzz surrounding it. It'll definitely sell like hotcakes. I will say this, however - Alexander Wang bags are not, IMO, for the older set. A bag like the Jess shopper will appeal to a broader range of age groups, but the heavy stud-detailing on the Coco will be difficult for an older woman to pull off without coming off as a fashion victim. Just a thought until I can get a better look at it.

The Odette is to die for.I'm actually writing up a review for it tomorrow. Picking between the Odette and Blythe is a tough decision because I feel they're entirely different bags. The reason is the Blythe will appeal to a smaller group of women due to all the detailing (I happen to think it's not over the top), while the Odette has a broader appeal. It comes down to preferences in style. If you want more of a statement piece, then the Blythe is the way to go. If you have simpler tastes, then pick the Odette. Either way, Jimmy Choo is cranking out some really fab bags this fall so you'll have plenty of options to choose from. Good luck deciding and let me know which one you pick.

The last thing I am is a snob. If you read my entire post (as I am assuming from your comment you did not) I wrote "With so many talented designers producing unique, cutting-edge designs, it's a shame companies like Steve Madden rely on imitation rather than innovation". My complaint is with the fact that ii is possible to create unique designs that women of all budgets will love and could find easy to incorporate in their budgets. We have designer labels producing more moderately-priced bags and even less expensive versions of their high-end designs for stores like Target. My argument is with the blatant copying of another man's (or woman's) hard work. A brand like Kooba doesn't make $2000 bags, they make more affordable designs that aren't copies. In fact, they're quite innovative and being copied as well! When a company like Steve Madden survives solely by making copies of other designs, it is shameful. If you think that that makes me or any other person who feels the same way a snob, well, then you're certainly entitled to your opinion. I will respectfully disagree with your remark. The last thing anyone has ever accused me of is being a snob or acting as if I'm entitled to anything. Every handbag I ever bought growing up I worked for going to school and working full-time. I would save money for 5 or 6 months to buy a well-made designer bag. It's taken me just about eighteen years to collect the bags I have today, sometimes selling my older out-of-style bags to fund my new purchases. So please, trust me on this one, I don't go around pointing out people in the mall saying, "Ugh, what a horrible imitation bag they have". I don't fault consumers, I fault the companies and designers that have no creativity whatsoever.

When the average consumer is unable to spend $2000 on a handbag because they need to pay for, I don't know, something like rent or food, I wonder, is it really bad that Steve Madden is providing the fashion conscious individual accessibility to high end designs? Your post reeks of snobbery and a sense of entitlement. Unless your wardrobe is composed of solely couture items, you can be assured that whatever items you purchase from department stores are trickle down imitations of designer lines. So yes, Steve Madden has produced items that are virtual imitations of high end products, but that is not ALL they do. Please remember that fashion shouldn't be a luxury.
